About Westside Transportation Alliance (WTA)
WTA is a non-profit organization that works with privateemployers and public agencies in WashingtonCounty, Oregon to provide workplace-based activitiesto reduce the number of employees that commute towork by driving alone. By encouraging employees toreduce their auto trips and increase use of transportation options for commute trips, WTA helpsget cars off the road, which relieves congestion,improves air quality, promotes healthy behavior, andhelps employers recruit and retain high-qualityemployees.For individuals in frontline and essential jobs, agroup disproportionately represented by people ofcolor,commute trips are an unavoidable necessity. WTA’sgoal is to serve BIPOC communities through thedevelopment and implementation of programs specificallytailored for frontline and essential employees.
Position Description
The Marketing & Program Coordinator is a flexible,part-time role ideal for a candidate interested increatingand leading marketing and communications and a year-roundincentive program with the goal of promotingtransportation options usage for commute trips. Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

Manage WTA’s online content, including:oWebsite (Weebly)oE-newsletters (MailChimp)
o
Social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter),
●
Coordinate commuter incentive programsoSeek opportunities to improve, evolve, or change programsto improve outcomesoLead communications with participantsoLead outreach efforts to increase the number of participants
o
Plan and conduct prize drawings
o
Create and lead special challenge events
●
Develop online and print marketing and communicationsmaterials as needed (WTA uses the onlinegraphic design platform Canva), includingoAnnual Report and Program ReportsoCommunication templates and toolkits to assist memberorganizations in engaging theiremployees
o
Promotions for upcoming events and activities
●
Assist with implementation and planning of other programsand projects
●
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates should be comfortable both working independentlyand within a team environment. An idealcandidate has a background that may include:
●
Experience with marketing, communications, and/orefforts to foster behavior change
●
Familiarity with and passion for transportation optionsand their beneficial outcomes
●
Familiarity with Washington County communities
●
Comfort with (or willingness to learn) Weebly, MailChimp,and Canva platforms
●
Comfort and proficiency with social media and experiencemanaging professional social mediaaccounts
●
Ability to represent WTA professionally to businesses,partners, and the community
●
An effective communicator, creative problem solver,and a customer service mindset
Position Details
This is an hourly, part-time (0.6FTE through 9/30/2021and 0.5FTE thereafter) position. Hours may beincreased pending availability of funding.Starting pay range is $20-$22 per hour. Other benefitsinclude a TriMet pass, employer retirementcontribution, paid holidays, and annual paid timeoff allocation.The position is currently fully remote. A return toa flexible in-office or hybrid schedule may takeplace in2022. There may be occasional evening and weekendcommitments based on projects.
