Responsibilities:
EVENT MANAGEMENT- Oversee planning, logistics, community partnerships, volunteer recruitment and management for Community Cycling Center’s events.
Holiday Bike Drive and Bikes for Kids -
Responsible for overall coordination of Bike Drives, including working with the Used Inventory Coordinator on bike collection and the Bike Drive Production Coordinator for bicycle production, engaging volunteers year-round in cleaning and repairs of bicycles, ensuring registration is done efficiently and all day-of logistics
Cycle Oregon -
Recruit, train and lead a team of staff and volunteers providing bike detailing and electronic device charging services
Fundraising Events -
Work with Development Managers to plan and implement fundraising events such as Transportation Trivia, Bike Mechanic Challenge and others
Community Events -
Coordinate staff and volunteer presence at community bike rides, fix-it fairs, community events and other outreach opportunities
VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT - Manage volunteers, including volunteers in leadership positions, to successfully execute Community Cycling Center’s organizational events.
Lead the active recruitment of volunteers to help us deliver our mission, particularly through organizational events
Leverage relationships with current and potential business supporters to engage volunteers and actively recruit volunteers to support our mission through bike builds and bike cleanings
Maintain ongoing contact with volunteers and ensure that they are actively involved and well supported
Support Volunteer Coordinators to engage our volunteers in the delivery of bicycle repair, logistics, special events and advocacy
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES -

QUALIFICATIONS
• At least two years of experience in event and volunteer management
• Sensitivity to diversity and commitment to inclusion; including but not limited to issues of culture, race, homelessness, sexual orientation, gender, spirituality and language
• Warm, welcoming, engaging demeanor who enjoys people
• Excellent communication skills and a professional work ethic
• Dedication to Community Cycling Center’s mission
• Proven ability to plan and manage large-scale events
• Ability to regularly lift over 50 pounds
• Ability to safely drive a 16 ft. box truck
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Spanish preferred
• Basic desktop publishing software, graphic or web design experience
• Knowledge a Salesforce a plus
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude preferred
