Ground Score Association Grant Writing Consultant (open until closed)

Ground Score Association is seeking a skilled Grant Writing Consultant to help us secure unrestricted funds to further our mission and expand our impact.

Position Type: Short-term contract with a budget not to exceed $10,000, but potential to continue if funding is secured through fundraising efforts.

Hourly Rate: Consultant rate to be determined based on relevant experience

Timeline: September 2024 - January 2025

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Grant Writing Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. The consultant will be responsible for identifying potential funding sources, crafting compelling grant proposals, and securing unrestricted or core operations funding to support our programs and operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in successful grant writing and fundraising for nonprofits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and government entities that align with Ground Score Association’s mission and funding needs.

2. Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.

3. Collaborate with staff to gather information necessary for proposals and reports.

4. Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all grant applications and reports.

5. Provide guidance and support in developing budgets and project plans for grant proposals.

6. Track grant submissions and outcomes, providing regular updates to the team.

7. Assist in developing strategies to secure unrestricted funding and diversify revenue streams.

8. Expand Ground Score’s database of potential funders.

Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with the mission and values of Ground Score Association

2. Proven experience as a grant writer with a successful track record of securing unrestricted funds for nonprofit organizations

3. Strong understanding of the grant application process and knowledge of potential funding sources

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals

5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

7. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and adapt to changing needs
