Job Title: Enterprise Sales Associate
Supervisor: Portland Estate Store Manager
Hours: 18hrs/week *with possibility for more; general schedule is Wed-Sat (daytime hours)
Salary: $17.50/hour

Community Warehouse (CW) is a nonprofit furniture bank that collects and redistributes donated
furniture and household goods to neighbors in need. Through two locations (Portland and Tualatin)
and referrals from over 200 social service and government agencies, public schools, and faith
communities, the Warehouse helps families and individuals stabilize their lives by providing them
with the basics that turn their housing into homes. Families are able to receive beds, a kitchen
table and chairs, a dresser, sofa, living room furniture, lamps, items for cooking and linens all in
one delivery. These basic comforts of home help people improve their quality of life and
self-sufficiency. We also operate two Estate Stores that sell a small percentage of donated items -
furniture, housewares, art, jewelry, and collectibles -, to raise unrestricted funds for our mission and
engage the community in shopping for a cause.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented retail professional with excellent communication skills, and
a heart for connecting community members with meaningful nonprofit work. They are an

Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Sales Associate supports the Portland Estate Stores with sales activities and
excellent customer service. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, and using social media is a
must. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, detail-oriented, customer service specialist.

Essential Duties:
● Work onsite at the Portland Warehouses during scheduled shifts.
● Welcome and greet customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through
excellent sales service.
● Actively engage with customers to communicate Community Warehouse’s mission.
● Assist in point-of-sale processes, including transactions.
● Maintain health and safety policies and procedures - especially in regards to current
COVID-19 specific policies.
● Uphold visual merchandising standards as directed by Ent. Manager/Director.
● Support Portland Manager with social media content - taking photos, writing captions, and
communicating with customers via social media channels.
● Work with store volunteers to ensure store policies and procedures are properly carried out.
● Support in cleaning, repairing, identifying, and moving donated merchandise from the
Program Department.
● Work with supervisor to fill-in for staff vacation, absences or sickness in both the Portland
and Tualatin Estate Stores.
● Perform internal and external housekeeping duties as delegated by Ent. Manager/Director.
● Ensure organization policies and procedures are followed.
● Participate in performance evaluations of this position as directed by the supervisor.
● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● Previous sales experience in a retail environment preferred.
● Possess friendly, helpful, kind, and engaging personality in order to ascertain customers’
needs and wants.
● Experience using social media (Instagram - taking photos, writing captions) required.
● Must have excellent time management and communication skills, be organized, have
excellent social skills, and a sense of humor.
● Previous experience working with volunteers, preferred.
● Strong computer skills are a must.
● This is a physically demanding position including standing, stooping, reaching over head,
climbing ladders, moving furniture; requires some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
● Interest or knowledge of vintage or antique furniture and unique or collectible items a plus.
● Weekends required.
