$15/hour
32-40 hours per week
Benefits: PTO, monthly craft allowance, paid holidays (including paid birthday), health insurance reimbursement after 90 days

Supervises: N/A
Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment. This includes cashiering, pricing inventory, organizing, and assisting in accepting material donations. This position is well-trained in the reuse supply/retail duties as well as in donation intake. This is a full-time position that will require regularly working at least one weekend day.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide a joyous experience to all visitors, guests and volunteers
Operation of SCRAP Point of Sale software (Square)
Opening and closing duties as assigned by Site Leader
Pricing of donated inventory
Maintain a clean and shoppable environment by sorting, stocking and organizing store displays
Answer questions and direct guests as needed
Inculcate a culture of welcoming, warmth and positive energy
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
Attend all required staff meetings
Assist as scheduled in donation intake and processing
Advise and assist in store display and promotional activities
Guide, delegate and support SCRAP volunteers
Remain knowledgeable on current donation acceptance guidelines
Act as an ambassador for SCRAP in the community
Expectations of all SCRAP Staff
Work as part of a team with other staff, programs, volunteers and Board of Directors to fulfill SCRAP’s mission
Communicate effectively and focus on good stakeholder relations
Stay current with the environmental services community and sources of information and referral for callers and customers
Stay current with developments in recycling and reuse, including legislation and availability of recyclable materials markets
Working Conditions
Frequent lifting of up to 50lbs
Bending, stooping and climbing appropriate step ladders
Occasional dirty and dusty work environment
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
