(October 5, 2016) – Drive Oregon is excited to announce we are seeking three new team members, to help strengthen and build our efforts to accelerate transportation electrification in Oregon and beyond. We are now hiring for two Program Managers and a Policy Director.
Program Managers
The two new Program Manager positions will implement elements of a federally funded electric vehicle promotion campaign in Oregon and Washington (see http://driveoregon.org/showcase-award/). They will staff a physical showroom in downtown Portland designed to educate consumers about electric vehicle and charging options; manage projects and marketing campaigns designed to reach specific key markets in a focused way; and help build and strengthen Drive Oregon. Policy Director
The Policy Director will lead Drive Oregon’s policy work. This includes building stakeholder coalitions, designing and managing campaigns, working with contract lobbyists, and directly lobbying decision makers. Current policy priorities include securing an electric vehicle purchase rebate in the Oregon Legislature; strengthening electric vehicles’ role in Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program; and supporting a strong electric utility role in transportation electrification. The successful candidate will be expected to help identify future policy opportunities at the state and local level in Oregon and beyond.
