Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager role:

The marketing manager will be meaningfully committed to and excited by the vision, purpose and core values of The Renewal Workshop. This role will have the primary responsibility for helping customers understand their importance in transforming business from linear to circular. They will work in service to our brand partners to create joint marketing campaigns and projects and will be experts in using marketing to engage and inspire customers in making the world better through how they spend their money. We’re looking for someone with a fresh approach to marketing for social good in a meaningful, measurable and thoughtful way.

Typical duties include:

  • Creating and implementing a consumer facing marketing plan that drives sales and engagement across a variety of platforms and social media channels

  • Working with brand partners to develop co-marketing campaigns and efforts to drive sales of brand partner products

  • Site merchandising to support campaigns

  • Analyzing sales and traffic data to optimize strategies and budget investments

  • Meeting quarterly KPI’s and reporting out on KPI’s for assigned responsibilities

  • Developing budget recommendations on campaign basis and annual plan

  • Copywriting for consumer facing marketing efforts including blog posts, newsletters, social captions

  • Supporting Director of Retail Sales in marketing related to events and retail partnerships

  • Ensuring compliance with all privacy, spam and other policies related to D2C marketing

Art Director

The Art Director role:

The Art Director will be the chief visual interpreter of the The Renewal Workshop brand supporting consumer marketing, business development, and our ambitions to lead and change the apparel industry. The Art Director will be meaningfully committed to and excited by the vision, purpose and core values of The Renewal Workshop.  This person is responsible for ensuring a rich and beautiful visual experience that inspires people to embrace circular as a way of life and entices brands to adopt circular business models. We need someone who is experienced in the world of graphic design and photography and used to producing a large volume of assets to support an omnichannel business with an active content marketing strategy. This person must also be capable of  working across multiple brand identities and styles. This role works cooperatively with our sales and marketing and business development teams. Being part of a startup means constant change and innovation, and we need someone who can roll with the punches, remain creative and open to new directions and approaches and manage their own workflow and time. 

Typical duties include:

Consumer marketing support:

  • Creating a consistent visual style for TRW consumers using the brand and messaging bible standards and original brand standards

  • Creating visual content for weekly emails and blog posts, daily social media channels and assets for TRW.com according to the editorial calendar and asset production schedule.

Design in support of our role as circular business leaders in the apparel industry:

  • Creating a consistent visual style for TRW circular leadership using the brand and messaging bible standards.

  • Developing inspiring visual content for decks, presentations, newsletters, infographics, and white papers

  • Developing visual identity and supporting layout an execution for Annual State of Circular report

Design in support of co-marketing with our brand partners:

  • Collaborating with Account Manager and Marketing Manager on co-marketing efforts with brand partners.

  • Creating visual content as needed for our brand partner sites according to their standards

  • Providing visuals for Impact Report

Digital asset management:

  • Managing team access and use of images to ensure alignment with TRW.- Organizing, cataloging and maintaining digital assets from various locations and platforms into NetX to ensure accessibility and use.- Organizing and maintaining Collections images for Brand Partners.

  • Coordinating and Art Directing all photo shoots

  • Maintaining permissions and guarding brand standards for image use (for TRW and for brand partner assets)

Key competencies and technical skills:

  • Demonstrated track record of creative execution to support engagement and sales in apparel or accessories brand

  • Ability to design in service to our message and within the parameters of our brand identity and brand partners parameters

  • Mastery of design tools - Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightbox (or comparable products)

  • Animation and infographic production competency

  • Digital asset management systems creation and maintenance (NetX ideal but not required)

  • Photoshoot art direction experience

  • Strong communication skills especially being able to translate verbal concepts into visual ones

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability

Partner Account Manager

The Partner Account Manager role

Our service to our brand partners is something we are really proud of; taking care of our brands is a labor of love and takes someone with patience, great communication and a knack for making people feel heard and taken care of. The person best suited for this role is someone who can key in to the needs of our brand partners and work tirelessly to ensure their satisfaction by collaborating with the roles internally that support them.

 

Typical duties include:

Brand Partner On-Boarding

  • Confirming sales channels, ensuring product data is transferred, entering them into TRW systems set up via internal process.

  • Managing the Brand Partner On-boarding process to ensure that all steps are completed before partnership begins; for example managing approval of the label guide and repair/quality process back to the brands, signing of their contract, submitting an invoice, as well as conducting on-boarding training and customer service.

Brand Account Management

  • Being the point person for general Brand Partner's needs for the business relationship.

  • Managing the bi-annual reporting process with the Brand Partners.

  • Collaborating with the internal roles who work with the brand partners - sales, production, quality, marketing, technology.

  • Setting up and delivering 2 - 3 webinars / educational opportunities for our brand partners on the circular economy.

  • Submitting production requests to the Sales & Marketing Circle for new and current brand partners.

  • Delivering the brand partner marketing report bi-annually or quarterly in partnership with the Marketing Manager.

  • Checking in on brands on a regular basis to hear their needs and adjust how TRW delivers services to meet those needs.

  • Creating ways of showing Brand Partner appreciation including annual holiday gift.

  • Maintaining brand profiles for all existing and new brand partners

Current Brand Partner Business Development

  • Working with the Business Development Support role to help current brand partners’ business development; identifying new sales channels for their product within the TRW sales offerings, growing the volume and type of products they have etc.

  • Working with the Business Development Support role, retail and ecomm roles to put together strategies for brand partners to grow their sales, leveraging TRW's systems and tools.

  • Listening for and recognizing the needs of brand partners; where TRW might need to develop services to support circular transformation etc.

 

Level:  3 – 4 years experience project management and / brand apparel/textile experience

Salary: Commensurate upon experience.

Sewing Machine Operator and Repair Technician -  Cascade Locks, OR

Level:  Minimum of 6 months industrial sewing machine experience required or equivalent training.

Description

The Renewal Workshop seeks a full-time sewing machine operator and repair technician, with expertise in sewing, assembling and repairing apparel products.

Position Summary: This dynamic role will assist with many facets of sewing, assembly and repair operations. This individual will work closely with supervisors in order to meet daily production demands. These duties will require the successful operation of an industrial sewing machine, as well as other machinery to perform duties. 

 Specific Sew Tech Role Requirements:

  • Operate single, double, multi-needle or other sewing machines to repair finished apparel and/or other products

  • Perform sewing duties (i.e. reinforce seams, attach buttons, hooks, repair zippers, etc.)

  • Assist in different aspects of the department to assure work flow (i.e. labeling, quality control/assurance, steam/press of products going through the Repair department)

  • Assist and ensure that daily production quotas are met

  • Identify/maintain product integrity and quality of work at all times

  • Maintain strict and precise attention to detail of repairs, adhering to company repair/quality manual

  • May perform minor maintenance of machinery as necessary

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Working knowledge and experience using an industrial sewing machines, other machinery and various hand tools to perform duties related to apparel manufacturing and repair

  • Ability to follow all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work

Finishing Role - Cascade Locks, OR

We are looking for someone who can review that each garment is perfect for our customers by being very careful and detail oriented. We call this a “Finishing Role” because they put the final finishing touches on each piece.

Typical duties include:

  • Preparing garments for the customer by de-pilling, removing lint, and cleaning up loose threads

  • Review of sewn on labels

  • Review of repairs

  • Entering garment information into computer inventory system

Level:  Some sewing and apparel experience
