Waste-Free Advocates - One Year Free Membership to Master Recyclers
In appreciation of the Master Recyclers' commitment to reducing waste and benefiting the community, Waste-Free Advocates is offering one year of free membership to Master Recyclers who have finished their training, even if the volunteer hours haven't been completed yet.
The membership gets you a discount each month to a different, low-waste business, and free access to their Jan, 28th party for waste-reducers, The 2nd Annual Celebration of Innovation.
Master Recyclers are welcome to join as a new member throughout January. In order to claim your membership, please register using the button below. We hope that you will join us!

CENTURIONS
These Master Recyclers are Centurions and get to wear a 100 hour centurion button next to their Master Recycler badge.

Ric Oleksak (Class 51) is now a Centurion Master Recycler with over 100 hours! Ric got started after his class by volunteering at Fix-It Fairs in Portland, then by planning sustainability goals for the RECs Pickleball facility. Since then, he’s taken more of a peer-to-peer approach to his outreach hours by having direct conversations with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Thank you, Ric, for all you do!

Catherine Meyer (Class 85) (left)
Catherine Meyer (Class 85) reached 30 hours and is now a certified Master Recycler. You may have seen her at one of the four James’ Recycling Events she did, or three Repair Fairs. She also volunteered her time at the Milwaukie Farmers Market. Thank you, Catherine! We appreciate you!

Michael Freudenthal (Class 88)
Michael Freudenthal (Class 88) is also now a certified Master Recycler. As a board member of Waste-Free Advocates, he reached a good portion of his hours attending board meetings and planning for Waste-Free Advocates events, but Michael has been very active all over! He has volunteered at James’ Recycling events, the Orenco Farmers market, ReClaim It, and Shake and Fold. Michael was doing a lot of this work even before becoming a Master Recycler, so you’ll still see him around. Thank you, Michael!
