Reed College is inviting a Master Recycler volunteer to come table about recycling at their Earth Day event.

“This year’s celebration will center on resilience in the face of the climate crisis, emphasizing the power of collective action and community care. The event will showcase local initiatives and highlight ways Reed community members can engage in climate action, emphasizing our shared investment in protecting and nurturing the ecosystems that sustain us. We will be inviting other local sustainability-focused organizations, and it will be set up fair-style and community members will walk through to different booths. There will be live music and food, it should be a ton of fun! We are hoping to facilitate student engagement with environmental organizations and promote sustainable activities like proper recycling habits, so it would be great to have a master recycler to talk to community members about how municipal recycling works and what common misconceptions/recycling mistakes are.”

The event is outdoors but covered. The college will provide a table and chairs.
